About the Autonomous University of Chapingo 
History
Current Chapingo (UACh) has its origins in the National School of Agriculture (ENA), which was officially founded on February 22, 1854, at the Convent San Jacinto, DF Subsequently, he moved to ENA Chapingo exhacienda, which began operations on November 20, 1923. major changes were made in 1941, regarding the admission policy of the school, to enter because it is required as a prerequisite the completion of studies at the secondary level, thus Agricultural High School was established three years and four Specialty years.
The February 22, 1959, establishing the College of Po sgraduados National School of Agriculture (later, it is established as an independent agency), marking a major boost for the development of higher agricultural education in the country.
During the years of 1962-63, the then Secretary of Agriculture, and Director of the ENA decreed the demise of the Agricultural School. However, in 1966 H. Board decides to reopen, thereby facilitating the entry of students from rural areas of the country from then accepts input from students who have completed or middle or high school level.
In 1969, under a democratic environment, starts the demise of military discipline, and in 1973 achieved the establishment of self-discipline. In this time of major reforms are conceived government policies of the school, and presented two projects to transform from school to university, they were the UNRAM and UNACH, the last one sent to the Legislative Chambers of the country for review and approval. The transformation process from school to college culminating in 1978 with the formulation of the Statute of the Autonomous University of Chapingo, since then all activities and policy approaches inherent in the institution, are governed by that statute. This year, began its activities with following departments: Preparatory Agricultural, Forestry, E conomy Agricultural Plant Breeding, Agricultural Industries, Irrigation, Parasitology Agricultural, Rural Sociology, Soil, Arid and Sciences.
Since its inception, the university has experienced an expansion in terms of different orientacionesde agronomy, both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Thus were created the races: Agroecology, Agricultural Mechanics, Statistics, Industrial Forest, Forest, Forest Restoration, Agricultural Business Management, International Food price Agricultural Products, Agricultural Economics, Planning and Management of Renewable Natural Resources, Tropical Agricultural Specialist, Livestock Systems and Agricultural Systems in Arid Zones. Within the university itself have been created within the Master of Science in Rural Development Economics, Rural Sociology, Animal Production, Plant Protection, Forestry, Regional Rural Development, Horticulture and Doctorate of Science in Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Sciences.
Location
| University Chapingo, is located at km 38.5 of the Mexico-Texcoco, two kilometers from the city of Te xcoco. It can be reached by boarding a bus line in Mexico-Texcoco Passenger Bus Terminal de Oriente (TAPO) located near the Metro station San Lázaro in Mexico City, so that the route may be via Los Reyes-Texcoco Airport or short-Texcoco.
Mission In Chapingo Mexico we are a federal institution, whether public, which has mission is to provide education and higher education level, develop scientific and technological research related to teaching, preserve, disseminate and enhance the culture to strive for timely transfer to the rural sector scientific and technological innovations, and ensure proper planning of agriculture and the services it requires to train professionals, teachers, researchers and technicians highly trained, critical thinking, nationalist, democratic and humanistic, that as the very UACh, respond to a rational, economic and social development of agricultural resources, forest and other natural resources, to improve the quality of life in economic and cultural aspects, especially the rural population, thus contributing to national development and sustainable sovereign.
Vision Chapingo Autonomous University is a public Mexican institutions relevant to leadership and national and international recognition, high academic quality in education services and transfer scientific and technological innovations carried out, the importance and magnitude of their contributions in scientific and technological research, and rescue and cultural diffusion develops. Emphasizes national identity and sovereign development, sustainable and inclusive, through the improvement of economic, social, cultural and quality of life of rural and marginalized populations. Fully educates its students and graduates, humane and fair trial, scientific, ecological, democratic and critical to national identity and international profile, and makes them tolerant, enterprising, sensitive and capable of adapting to the rapidly changing demands of modernity. Its structure, organization and academic programs are flexible and allow constant and life education. Promotes positive presence and leadership of the Mexican Nation at the global level.
