The Berklee College of Music in Boston, the University's most prestigious music lessons in the world, Valencia has been chosen as its first headquarters outside the U.S. city. Be called the Tower of Music, a music teaching complex which has a budget of 100 million euros and will occupy about 70,000 square meters.


The main building of the Berklee College in Valencia will measure 100 meters, enough to give it 25 storeys in to be recording studio with the latest technology, libraries, classrooms, rehearsal rooms and conference facilities, a residential area with capacity for 250 people and students in 104 apartments duplex, an auditorium and a multimedia center.


The main building is surrounded by a plaza covered with a large sheet to simulate the Albufera, and disposed of by a drainage system to accommodate events with a capacity for 15,000 people. The project architect is Antón García-Abril . Thus, from 2010 Valencia will be the center of musical teaching in Europe.
