... IN THE 70 WAS ABOUT TO RESULT IN THE REGION OF THE LANGUAGE ACADEMY (CMA)?
Ferrer.

In the days when Enric Monzonís (Unión de Centro Democrático (UCD)) was President of the Kingdom of Valencia autonomic (1979-1982) it was close shore up the Valencian language. Following a large demonstration in Valencia that the people took to the streets to demand the Kingdom of Valencia, the Royal Senyera and the Valencian language, centrist Monzonís called Valencian entities to make an offer to consolidate the Valencian Catalan and off: the creation of a Valencian Language Academy (CMA).

This entity is responsible for encoding and regulate our language and would be composed mostly of members and a minority Valencian Catalans. Monzonís came to offer even a check of 100,000 pesetas for the Valencian could cover the initial expenses. All representatives Valencian entities agreed with the idea of \u200b\u200bMonzonís except Sunday Paco, president of Valencia 2000, and especially the poet Xavier Casp , then president of The Rat Penat.

Casp, which had a large lead in the Valencia CF, refused to create an entity that's considered a "political move" and his refusal aborted the creation of the Academia Valenciana. However, years later it does eventually entering the Valencian Academy of Language (Catalan, that is) on the proposal of President of the Generalitat Valenciana, Eduardo Zaplana (Partido Popular (PP)). Apparently the AVL was not "policy" to Casp. CMA was a historic opportunity that Valencian failed to capitalize.
